Kentang means potato (in English), or 감자 (in Korean).

Tumis Kentang

Serves: approx. 5-6 times eating
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: approx. 10-15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 potatoes (medium size), thin sliced
  • 3-4 green chilies (청양 고추), thin sliced
  • 2 teasp minced garlic
  • 1 spoon coconut sugar, sliced
  • Salt
  • Vegetable oil

Directions:

  1. Add a little oil into the frying pan
  2. Add garlic into hot oil, followed by green chillies
  3. Add coconut sugar and salt
  4. Drop the potatoes, and add water (to help the potatoes cooked quickly)
  5. Mix them thoroughly, and wait until it fully cooked

Resep ini sudah sering dibuat sebenarnya. Terutama di saat gejala malas berat sedang melanda. Mudah dan cepat banget buatnya. Yang penting, siap sedia tuna kaleng ajah (aku selalu beli merk Ottugi/오뚜기) dan telur ayam 😀

Fried Tuna with Egg

Serves: 4 times eating
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: approx. 7-10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • Red pepper tuna (고추 참치), can 150 gr
  • 1-2 green chilies (청양 고추), thin sliced
  • 2 eggs
  • 2×10 cm scallion, finely chopped
  • Salt
  • Vegetable oil

Directions:

  1. Drop the eggs, add chopped scallion, green chillies, and salt, in a bowl
  2. Add tuna, and mixed them throughly
  3. Add a little oil into frying pan
  4. Fry the mixed ingredients-like omelette, until it cooked

Tumis Teri Pedas Manis

Resep ini dibuat tadi malam. Gara² ngidam berat sama teri asin jengki cabe ijonya mami. Jumat malam setelah pulang les korea nyempetin ke Highway Mart beli teri (anchovy) yang sudah dipak rapi juga cabe ijo pedas (청양 고추). Lalu Sabtu sore nelpon mami tanya resepnya. Ternyata mudah banget lho buatnya.

Tumis Teri Pedas Manis

Serves: I can have it for 3 days (three times a day)
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: approx. 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 150 gr dried anchovy
  • 7 green chilies (청양 고추), thin sliced
  • 5 small red onions, sliced
  • 2 teasp minced garlic
  • 1 spoon coconut sugar, sliced (you can add it if you want more sweet taste)
  • Salt
  • Vegetable oil

Directions:

  1. Anchovies are fried separately
  2. Add a little oil into the frying pan
  3. Add green chillies into hot oil, followed by the garlic and red onions
  4. Add coconut sugar and salt
  5. Drop the anchovies, and mix them thoroughly

Fried Bean Curd with Tomato

Fried Bean Curd with Tomato

Serves: 3 to 4
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 packs of soft bean curd (연두부) @300 gr, small square sliced
  • Cabbage (few amount), fine chopped
  • 2 eggs, well stirred (add salt and pepper)
  • 2 red tomatoes, fine chopped
  • 2 green chilies, sliced
  • ¼ onion, sliced
  • 3 garlic, fine chopped
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Vegetable oil

Directions:

  1. Fry tofu for 5 to 10 minutes, separately
  2. Add a little oil into the frying pan
  3. Add onion into the hot oil, followed by garlic and green chilies
  4. Drop tomatoes, fried until well cooked (you’ll get the liquid tomato)
  5. Add cabbage, salt, and pepper according to your taste, and mix them thoroughly
  6. Add tofu
  7. Drop the egg, stir until well mixed

Fried Rice with Anchovy

Fried rice with anchovy

Serves: 1 to 2
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 210 gr cooked white rice
  • Anchovies
  • 100 gr of enoki mushroom, cut
  • 1 egg 
  • 2 green chilies, sliced
  • ¼ onion, sliced
  • Chili powder
  • 2 teaspoon of coriander powder
  • Mustard seeds
  • Salt
  • Vegetable oil 

Directions:

  1. Egg and anchovies are fried separately. Stir egg rapidly to break it up
  2. Add a little oil into the frying pan
  3. Add mustard seeds into hot oil, followed by the onion and the green chilies
  4. Drop the enoki mushroom
  5. Add corriander powder, salt and chili powder according to your taste, and mix them thoroughly
  6. Drop the egg, the anchovies, and the rice. Stir until well mixed

Kolak pisang

Kolak Pisang

Bahan-bahan:

  • 1 sisir pisang
  • 75 gram coconut powder
  • 2 blok gula merah
  • 1000 ml air matang untuk kuah kolak (atau sesuaikan dengan kebutuhan)
  • Garam secukupnya

Pisang potongCoconut powder & palm sugarCoconut milkBoiled water with coconut milk & palm sugar

Cara Memasak:

  1. Potong potong pisang dengan ukuran kecil (lihat gambar)
  2. Iris tipis gula merah supaya mudah larut ketika dimasak bersama coconut milk 
  3. Buat coconut milk: campur coconut powder dengan 250 ml air matang, aduk rata
  4. Masukkan coconut milk ke dalam air matang, diiukuti dengan irisan gula merah. Aduk rata dan rebus hingga mendidih.
  5. Masukkan potongan pisang, rebus kembali hingga 2/3 lunak
  6. Siap dihidangkan

Since we don’t know how to name this dish, so I just name it Wortangahu (‘wor’ from ‘wortel’, Indonesian name for carrot; ‘tang’ from ‘kentang’, Indonesian name for potato; and ‘ahu’ from ‘tahu’, Indonesian name for bean curd. ‘Sifut’ is our slank name for Seafood :P)

Tumis Sifut Wortangahu

Serves: 4 to 6
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 potatoes, sliced
  • ½ carrot, sliced
  • 15x10x5 bean curd, small square cut
  • 3 haemul kyeongdan (seafood meatball), small square cut
  • 2 eggs 
  • ½ onion, sliced
  • 2 garlics, small chopped
  • 2 green chilies, small sliced
  • Spring onion, small sliced 
  • Salt
  • Corriander powder
  • Pepper powder
  • Vegetable oil

Directions:


  1. Bean curd, haemul meatball, and eggs are fried separately 
  2. Add oil into the frying pan
  3. Add onion into hot oil, fry it until turns into golden brown, then followed by garlic
  4. Add salt, corriander powder, and pepper powder according to your taste
  5. Drop the potatoes and carrots, and mix them thoroughly
  6. Drop green chilies and spring onion
  7. Drop the fried bean curd and the haemul meatball, stir them until well mixed
